2010 January Event: Afternoon with Ahmad Batebi

Coalition for Human Rights and Democracy in Iran, organized a three hour gathering with human right activist and former political prisoner, Mr. Ahmad Batebi. Over 150 people, from diverse age groups, ethnicity, and political background attended the program in UCSD Multipurpose room from 2:00-5:00 pm to listen to Mr. Batebi retelling his first-hand experiences with the prison guards, investigators, and the juridical system in Islamic Republic of Iran. His speech was both instantly translated for non-Farsi speakers among the audience and videotaped for future references.
