Summary
In the present report, submitted pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 52/27,
the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran,
Javaid Rehman, provides an overview of current human rights concerns in the Islamic
Republic of Iran. In his report, the Special Rapporteur details observations regarding trends,
concerns and progress made in the protection of human rights and includes recommendations
to improve the human rights situation.
